Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki called on the international community to immediately intervene to save the life of prisoner Ghazanfar Abu Atwan, who is on hunger strike for the 64th consecutive day in protest against the continuing Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinian prisoners.
In a letter he addressed to the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva, Peter Maurer, reported by Wafa Agency today, Al-Maliki stressed that the continuous crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians, especially the prisoners, constitute a flagrant violation of international law.
Al-Maliki called on international humanitarian organizations, led by the International Red Cross, to pressure the occupation authorities to release all prisoners, especially Abu Atwan, and save his life.
