Today, in the Church of the Heart of Jesus in Banias, a classical Baroque evening was held, which was revived by the international opera singer Sumaya Hallaq and her orchestra, in the presence of a large audience from the people of Banias and its countryside.

The ceremony included a group of hymns in both Arabic and Einian languages, carrying messages of peace and love for Syria.

Father Michel Al-Saghbinyi, the priest of the parish of the Heart of Jesus in Banias, said in a statement to SANA that the purpose of the ceremony is to present something special to the people of the city that sows a seed of peace and love among people, especially after the conditions of war and the many pains that Syrians experienced in general.

In turn, the Vicar General of the Maronite Diocese of Latakia, Monsignor Antoine Deeb, expressed in a similar conversation his happiness at attending the evening, which represents a need for many in these times. Music, as he puts it, is a bath for the soul that relieves its pain and worries.

He added that despite all the pain and wars that we have experienced in Syria, we will still have hope and hope that the next stage will be better in the lives of all Syrians that will bring them love, hope and peace.

The opera singer Hallaq, who performed the evening with her band, explained that today's concert is a message she wanted to send through music to the people of the city to light up in their hearts the flame of hope and give them positive energy, pointing out that the concert is the third in Syria, where she gave concerts in Aleppo, Homs and soon in Damascus.
