The former president accepts the offer and the socialist candidate for the Board will change the three senators for Andalusia

Susana Díaz's next political destination will be the Senate. The socialist candidate for the presidency of the Board, Juan Espadas, has offered the still secretary general of the PSOE of Andalusia to be a senator for the autonomous community, an operation that he wants to materialize already this July, according to socialist sources. Díaz attended this Wednesday the plenary session of the Andalusian Parliament, where the president of the Board, Juan Manuel Moreno, appeared at his own request and at the request of the groups, and has occupied his usual seat, the one that corresponds to him as still president of the parliamentary group. To his right, the new socialist spokesperson, Ángeles Férriz, has sat. Before, she has been chatting animatedly with Moreno in the plenary hall, surrounded by numerous photographers.

According to socialist sources, Díaz has accepted the offer, which implies the resignation of one of the three senators of the PSOE for the autonomous community of Andalusia. Espadas has asked Fernando López Gil from Cádiz to resign from his position to leave an empty hole. López Gil has not raised any objection. The idea of the candidate for the Junta, who won the primaries to Díaz with 55% of the support, is to also renew, but later, the other two senators for the community, the Malaga-born Marisa Bustinduy and the Sevillian and export government spokesperson scored by Díaz Miguel Ángel Vázquez when we have the information.

These changes are part of the renewal that Espadas intends when he is elected secretary general of the PSOE. That will take place, except for a capital surprise, on July 23. On July 13, the steering committee of the Andalusian PSOE will call the primaries to elect the general secretary, a position for which Espadas will also choose to be invested as leader of the party. If there is no other candidate who meets the required endorsements (2% of the census, around 900 signatures), the mayor of Seville will also be proclaimed secretary general. In the event that there is more than one applicant who achieves the guarantees, the process would go to September 5, since August is non-working. Until the end of the year, he will have to live with a regional executive designed and chosen by Susana Díaz, with whom he has not had any problem of communication for the moment.Espadas is going to appoint an organizing committee for the congress, which was authorized by the last federal committee, with people he trusts.

The idea of Espadas is for Díaz to be elected senator by the community in the next plenary session of Parliament, scheduled for the 21st and 22nd. For the election to be included in the agenda, the Senate must notify the resignation of López Gil beforehand. . Díaz can reconcile his position in the Senate with that of regional parliamentarian, although Espadas's calculations go through the resignation of the former president of his Andalusian act. If at the time she is elected she retains her seat, Díaz would not have to go through the appointments committee. In theory, this body evaluates the suitability of parliamentary appointments, but the groups traditionally respect the proposals that are raised without asking a single question.
