The branch of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in Homs continues to train and qualify job seekers by subjecting them to a number of free vocational training courses, from which 195 people benefited during the first half of this year.

Engineer Fatima Al-Abdullah, director of the authority's branch in Homs, explained to SANA reporter that the courses held by the authority are implemented in cooperation with some vocational centers within the program of training job seekers with the aim of providing job opportunities for job seekers and those wishing to establish their own projects.

She pointed out that the free courses included, during the first half of this year, the areas of electrical installations, computer and mobile maintenance, electrical and electronic appliances, women's haircuts, commercial accounting and car electricity, explaining that 3 training courses are being implemented within the program to support the economics of the working family under the agreement signed between the authority and the General Federation of Trade Unions. Khadra Al-Shamali, head of the Working Women's Committee in the Governorate Workers' Union, pointed out that hundreds of female workers, wives and daughters of workers, have benefited from the working family support project, which included courses in e-marketing, the detergent industry, and others to be granted certificates that are considered a license to start work.
