A bouquet of traditional and traditional songs from Syria's artistic heritage presented by artist Kamal Hamid under the title "Panorama of the Syrian Song" in a ceremony hosted by the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Tartous, as part of the activities of the last day of the Seventh Folk Heritage Festival.

Hamid, who enthralled the audience of the center, sang with the accompaniment of the Oud instrument from the Damascene heritage, such as my song “Ya Mal al-Sham wa Bel-Fala Jamal Sari” and from Aleppo some of its oudh with the song “Abo al-Nakhl” all the way to Homs with the song “Wali Minak Ya Wali.” “The sea is the color of your eyes blue.”

In a speech he gave before the start of the ceremony, Hamid considered that what distinguishes Syrian folklore is the similarity and diversity with the difference at the same time, and he saw that the sadness that exists in its different types such as muwashshahs and poems gave it vitality and activity to reach the whole world.

The festival, which was held by the Directorate of Intangible Heritage in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in the governorate over a period of three days under the title “Arwad Bahr Al-Turath” concluded with an artistic concert performed by the oriental band of the Arab Institute of Music in Tartous in the cultural center of Tartous, during which a group of heritage songs and Andalusian muwashshahs were presented as a muwashshah. “Al Rozana” and “Ala La La La” and “Zebnou Al Marjah” and “Khadra, my country” and “Helweh, my country” and the kick of your foot” amid a great interaction of the audience that filled the theater hall.

The festival administration presented certificates of appreciation and participation to all participants in appreciation of their giving and their artistic career, as the Director of Culture Kamal Badran mentioned in a statement to SANA, considering that these efforts and works enriched the cultural and heritage movement in particular, whether in professions, handicrafts or singing, which the owners were keen to transmit from generation to generation to remain Syria is an ancient historical memory, a rich present and a bright future.
