With the participation of more than 70 local, Arab and foreign companies specialized in the oil industries, exploration operations, studies and consultations, the activities of the second session of the Syrian International Petroleum and Gas Exhibition, Serpetro, were launched on the grounds of the exhibition city in Damascus this evening.

The exhibition, which continues until the tenth of this month, aims to help investors determine the future requirements of petroleum projects in Syria, the country's plans for the short and long term, strategic priorities and master plans for the oil and mineral wealth sector.

The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohme, confirmed in a statement to the media after his tour of the exhibition that it includes companies that provide all kinds of services in the oil sector and present new technologies and ideas and are ready to enter the Syrian market.

In turn, the Director General of the Mashhadani International Group, the organizer of the exhibition, Khalaf Mashhadani, said that the exhibition is important to discuss the possibility of cooperation with oil companies in friendly countries, as well as the possibility of cooperation and contracting between the private and public sectors for the reconstruction of the Syrian oil sector, which was destroyed as a result of the attacks of terrorist organizations.

From Iraq, Alaa Al-Shamri, head of the Al-Amarah Chamber of Commerce, praised the determination and determination of the Syrian companies, and said we are in the process of strengthening relations and transferring and developing the process of trade exchange between the two countries.

From Iran, Majid Rostami, advisor to Tadbeer Holding Company, confirmed his readiness to participate in the work of oil exploration and the reconstruction of oil wells destroyed in Syria as a result of terrorism, cooperation in the field of gas, implementation of joint projects with the Syrian side, and assistance in the field of export and trade exchange.

The exhibition can be visited daily from five in the afternoon until ten in the night.
