In order to revive the art and culture scene in the region after Corona, several events are currently planned in Nandlstadt.

Nandlstadt

- “Art and culture suffered” in the corona pandemic.

Nobody knows that better than Rainer Klier, a passionate musician, cultural consultant and 2nd mayor of the Nandlstadt market.

With two planned projects he would like to “send a strong public message”.

Art in the shop window

Under the motto “Art in the shop window”, paintings and photos will be exhibited in the Nandlstadt shop windows from Saturday, July 17th to Sunday, August 1st.

A total of 14 artists, mostly from Nandlstadt, take part in the campaign - including "a lot of women", Klier says happily.

Klier had called for this action via social media.

Klier is very satisfied with the reaction of the artists, but also of the traders who make their shop windows available.

Now he hopes that the exhibition itself will also be well received.

Because for him it is very important to “bring the art into the public space and not lock it in a studio”.

Cultural summer

Another project that Klier is currently organizing is the cultural summer - as a replacement for the “Festival of the Senses”, which should actually have taken place in June and had to be canceled due to the Corona.

From Friday, August 20 to Sunday, September 5, there will now be open-air events on the Hopfenfest-Wiese.

Keller Steff, “Conni und die Sonntagsfahrer” and the Bühnenpolka improvisation theater have already been won as artists - he is still waiting for feedback from two other artists.

In order to comply with the Corona rules, only between 300 and 400 visitors should be allowed to attend the concerts.

“We deliberately do not want to exploit the maximum possible,” says Klier.

With the “colorful mix”, the cultural advisor hopes “that there is something for everyone”.

And of course physical well-being will also be taken care of.

Event postponed

With the Wellküren and Franziska Wanninger, the festival of the senses should actually have started on June 25th.

But the event had to be postponed due to the corona.

The new date is now on Saturday, November 27th - "if Corona allows it," said Klier.

Bockerl exhibition

And the Bockerlbahn exhibition in the Hopfenhalle in Nandlstadt would have been planned for spring.

This event also had to be canceled.

But Klier wants to "see whether we can still accommodate that this year".

All in all, the culture officer hopes that the corona situation will continue to relax and that culture can take place properly again.

In a cultural year like last year, when almost nothing could take place, “my heart bleeds inside”.

A family man (58) from the district was fatally injured during repair work on his mobile home.

The help of the sons hurrying up came too late.
