It is a "cold-case" which may be on the verge of being resolved: six years after the events, the remains of Lucas Tronche, who disappeared in March 2015 when he was to go with his brother to a swimming lessons, were identified by investigators.
Scientific expertises have established that the DNA found on the bones at Bagnols-sur-Cèze is indeed that of a 15-year-old boy.

At the end of June, along a cliff located a few kilometers from the home of the family of the disappeared, investigators had found a jacket, a watch, a backpack, and a cell phone that belonged to the teenager.
Tennis shoes had also been discovered, but investigators are not sure whether these are those of Lucas Tronche.
The area where the bones were found was particularly difficult to access, and it was only "
accidentally
" that one of the firefighters who was carrying out searches in this area saw a backpack.
During a press conference, the public prosecutor of Nîmes Eric Maurel had indicated that no track was privileged, but the latter had however raised the hypothesis of an "
accidental fall
" or of a meeting with a third person.
