The audience of Al-Sayed Art Gallery was exposed to tales full of visual drama, artistic reduction, and exotic formations, using various methods and techniques, through the works of the Vivian Sayegh plastic exhibition entitled Vivian's Stories.

The exhibition, which included 29 works of various sizes, included two works, one synthetic and the other conceptual. The man played a starring role in the compositions of paintings that contained surprise in most of them and strangeness in some of them.

Regarding the specifics of the exhibition, the artist, Vivian, said in a statement to SANA: “I present in my paintings my own vision of life by introducing many elements and symbols to present a work of art that bears images from the lived reality, which for me represents a rich and inspiring store of many stories.”

Vivian explained that she relies on constant experimentation and innovation, whether in techniques or topics, with her keenness to present her own artistic imprint in all of her works, noting that she always tries to stay away from repetition in her works, while preferring the large size in the paintings as it opens wider fields of imagination.

And about her use of strong symbols that depend on surprise, she pointed out that she draws the feelings associated with confusion as a result of life’s pressures with symbols and colors that express the idea she wants from the painting, starting to draw each new action of her feelings in the development of colors to then explode her internal energy with work steps until the painting is built rationally and balance Till the end.

Vivian stressed that the difficult circumstances we live in should not discourage us from continuing to work in order to move this reality and change it through individual effort that pours into the crucible of teamwork.

For his part, artist and plastic critic Ghazi Aana said: “The artist’s paintings, Vivian, are always astonishing because they assume time and place. A special visual appeal to contemplative people and cultural visionaries.”

In turn, Ilham Bakir, owner of Al-Sayed Gallery, said: “The artist, Vivian, has a special style and has her artistic imprint in the Syrian formation, and her works in this exhibition tell about events we have lived in Syria during the last ten years, and this is what prompted me to host the exhibition for the art-loving audience to see it within our approach in the hall that we are trying Maintaining it by continuing to work despite all the difficult circumstances around us.”

The artist, Vivian Al-Sayegh, a graduate of the Adham Ismail Center for Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2001, has solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions inside and outside Syria. She has a solo exhibition and has held many art workshops and her works are acquired in Syria, Lebanon, the Emirates, France, Kuwait and Oman.
