After Typhoon Signal No. 1 was unloaded earlier, the weather in Hong Kong became hot again.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in effect. The temperature in the urban area reached 33 degrees Celsius today (8th).
The observatory predicts that the next 5 days will remain extremely hot.
According to the Observatory’s nine-day weather forecast, the highest temperature in the urban area in the next three days (9-11) will reach 34 degrees, of which the highest temperature in Sheung Shui will be 36 degrees.
The Observatory said that the subtropical high pressure ridge will bring generally sunny and very hot weather in the next few days. However, as the subtropical high pressure ridge weakens slightly in the middle and late next week, there will be a few showers in Hong Kong.
According to the Observatory’s nine-day weather forecast, the weather will be extremely hot in the next five days. From Friday to next Sunday (9-11), the temperature in the urban area will range from 29 to 34 degrees Celsius, with 36 degrees in Sheung Shui, Shek Kong and Ta Kwu Ling during some periods.
In addition, from Monday to Saturday (12th to 17th), although the weather is generally fine or there will be sunshine for a short period of time, there will be showers.
