More living space is to be created on the Patchway Anger in Gauting than previously planned.

New plans also include multi-storey apartment building as an option, because the single-family houses planned so far are probably unaffordable for many.

Gauting - Work is continuing on the planned socio-ecological model estate Am Patchway-Anger on the area between the former AOA site on Ammerseestrasse and Pötschenerstrasse. On Tuesday evening, Prof. Hans-Peter Hebensperger-Hüther from the Munich office of H2R Architects presented a new design for the municipal property in this area to the building committee of the Gautingen municipal council. Because the prices “run away” in Gauting, he recommends two-generation houses, but also three-story residential buildings around a village square with a linden tree - and fewer single-family houses. In the first step, the local council must determine “for whom you are building,” he said.

Based on the adjoining "Little Jerusalem" settlement, he initially planned single-family atrium houses on the parish property, explained Hebensperger-Hüther. For a nurse or a firefighter who could not afford a single-family house, he also recommends smaller units with two- and three-room apartments in multi-storey buildings with mobility stations, children's playgrounds and common rooms, which are grouped around a new village square. A traffic-calmed area with no through traffic is to be created on Pötschenerstrasse, and two-storey houses for two generations in the southern part. The apartment building is grouped around garden courtyards. One variant would be an inexpensive, only covered outdoor staircase. If the municipal council also wants shared apartments for the elderly,A lift must also be built for barrier-free access. But for this the need must be determined. In order to seal little space, he recommends duplex garages with a parking space key of 1.25 per family house.

A kindergarten teacher or policeman could not finance an atrium home worth 800,000 euros

"I like it better than the initial planning," praised Franz Jaquet (CSU).

Eberhard Brucker (SPD) also advocated the additional affordable living space that a kindergarten teacher or a police officer could not finance an 800,000 euro expensive atrium home.

The floor area increases from 3000 to 4500 square meters, calculated Hebensperger-Hüther.

It is now up to the municipal councils to whom they make these available - a kindergarten or a family.

The architecture professor asked Stefan Berchtold (MfG / Piraten) to ensure climate-neutral construction thanks to the timber construction and south-facing orientation.

Then there is geothermal energy, reminded Mayor Dr.

Brigitte Kössinger.

Markus Deschler (FDP) did not think it was okay that instead of single-family houses “through the back door”, multi-storey apartment buildings should be realized.

"We have taken up the suggestion from the council meeting," contradicted the mayor.
