Deir Ezzor City Council has started implementing a project to replace the damaged parts of the sewage network in Al-Thawra neighborhood.

The head of Deir ez-Zor city council, Raed Mandeel, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that as a result of the residents’ complaints about malfunctions in the sewage network in Al-Thawra neighborhood, which is one of the densely populated neighborhoods, and after conducting a technical inspection of a number of streets in the neighborhood, it became clear that a number of network lines should be replaced. Direct, in cooperation with international organizations, the Swiss Meder Organization, to replace sewage lines in a number of neighborhood streets with a total length of up to 1,000 meters

In turn, the Director of Technical Affairs in Deir ez-Zor City Council, Engineer Samih Al-Khalil, indicated that the work includes changing the old sewage network with a network of polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 40 cm for a distance of about 1,000 meters, in addition to cement manholes and rain drainage points, and restoring the asphalt shirt.
