The Ministry of Communications and Technology honored the winners of the Syrian cyber competition “Information Security”, which was organized by the National Authority for Network Services through the national platform “CTF.sy”, in cooperation with the Arab Internet and Communications Union and the Syrian Telecom Company.
The competition covers various fields including encryption, forensic digital evidence analysis, reverse engineering, web security, programming and networks, and aims to enhance and develop skills on the cyber horizon, discover Syrian talent in this field, prepare for participation in regional and international competitions, build a culture of awareness and qualify national expertise.
The winners of the competition expressed their gratitude for holding this type of competition for the first time in Syria at the individual level and allowing them to participate in it, which contributed to refining their expertise and adding new experiences to them, especially since they worked in an environment that mimics the real technical environment.
Engineer Rand Jamil Deeb, winner of the first place in the category of professionals over 24 years old, pointed out that the competition offers a distinct kind of self-development in the field of information security, adopting and refining talents and opening new doors regionally and internationally, while the second place winner in the same category, Engineer Nour Al-Hadi Mahmoud confirmed that he achieved a benefit.
