China denounces the United States for turning black and white, distorting "one country, two systems," and urging the United States to stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs.
The spokesperson of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong responded today (8th) to the White House’s extension of Hong Kong-related sanctions, reprimanding the United States for repeatedly interfering in Hong Kong and China’s affairs, and supporting anti-China chaos in Hong Kong, which seriously violated the basic principles of international relations. Urge the US to reflect on its behavior and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs.
The spokesman said that the United States' attempt to obstruct China's implementation of one country, two systems was "wishful thinking" and urged the United States to give up as soon as possible.
The spokesman also pointed out that after Hong Kong implemented the National Security Law, "from chaos to governance, from governance to prosperity", the United States should not attempt to infringe on China's sovereignty issues, otherwise the Chinese government and people will firmly safeguard national sovereignty and jointly countermeasures.
