The US government will blacklist at least 10 Chinese companies or entities as early as Friday (July 9) local time.
Reuters exclusively reported on the 9th that Washington accused China of violating the human rights of Xinjiang Uyghur Muslims and imposing sanctions on companies or entities accused of human rights violations and high-tech surveillance.
This is a similar action taken by the United States after Washington blacklisted five companies on alleged forced labor in Xinjiang in June.
The outside world does not know how many entities will actually be included in the US Department of Commerce's entity list, and the identity of those included in the list.
Some companies may come from foreign countries.
Reuters said the White House declined to comment on the report, and the US Department of Commerce did not immediately respond to its request for comment.
The human rights issue of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang has always attracted the attention of the international community.
China's use of "re-education camps" to prevent extremism and terrorism and provide skills training is widely questioned as unwarranted detention and political propaganda that violates human rights.
Governments and official figures such as Europe and the United States have repeatedly criticized or imposed sanctions on this issue.
