Today, elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa seized a factory for the manufacture of agricultural hoses in the city of Izraa, violating the possession of raw materials, “plastic granules” of unknown origin, amounting to about a ton and a kilogram.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa, Eng. Hamidi Al-Khalil, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the elements organized the necessary supply control, and the quantity was seized and delivered to the branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation, provided that the duration of the administrative closure would be determined by a decision of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection later.
He added that the consumer protection patrols, with the support of the competent authorities to monitor the supply and living situation in the city of Izra, organized today a catering control with violations related to food and non-food items distributed on expired items of unknown source and violations related to the lack of data on food and non-food items, soaking chickens in water, not announcing prices, Possessing invoices and not declaring service allowances for restaurants and transportation.
Earlier this week, the directorate organized seizures against the owners and investors of bakeries and gas stations for violating the presence of an amount of diesel in excess of the provisions and a shortage of fuel.
