Civil Defense personnel in Homs province put out today a fire that broke out in a truck on the Al-Suwayri-Shain road in the western Homs countryside.
Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, told SANA reporter that the branch’s operations room received a report about a fire in a Suzuki truck on the road near the town of Al-Suwairi. An exploding gas cylinder was in the truck.
Aqel explained that the members of the branch were able to put out the fire in the car and the agricultural lands, and that the damage was limited to material, noting that the cause of the fire in the car was due to a short circuit.
