Maro is building a multi-generation house around the old Wolfratshausen hospital.
The cooperative plans to present its project online next Monday.

- The Maro cooperative from Ohlstadt is building a multi-generation house in Wolfratshausen at Sauerlacher Strasse 15. The listed old hospital on the property is being renovated as part of the construction project.
It will accommodate two apartments and two office units.
A two-part new building is planned behind it.
22 cooperative rental apartments are being built in the three- or four-story building.

Two to five-room apartments with 50 to 122 square meters of living space are planned.
Over half of the new residential units are being built according to the guidelines of income-oriented funding - the rent for the residents is subsidized.
The project was discussed controversially at times.
The stumbling block was the 3.50 meter high courtyard wall that is being built at the intersection of Sauerlacher Strasse and Am Floßkanal.
According to the cooperative, the construction is necessary to make the garden usable for the residents despite the traffic noise at the busy intersection.
The majority of the city council saw it that way - and approved the plans.
The start of construction is planned for the first quarter of the coming year.
The new apartments should be ready for occupancy in autumn 2023.
The project manager of the Maro cooperative, Ralf Schmid, would like to present the major project in two online webinars, on Monday, July 12th and Friday, July 16th.
