The Ministry of Health is preparing for the number of passengers leaving and entering Ben Gurion Airport during the summer months, against the background of the re-spread of the Corona virus. According to the Airports Authority, in July there will be 470,658 passengers entering Ben Gurion Airport on 4,037 flights.

The morbidity rate estimated by the Ministry of Health is 0.11% - so in the coming month another 518 new verified people are expected to enter Israel.



Segmented by country, Turkey is expected to be the country from which the most patients will arrive - 104. This is when, during July, 69,028 passengers will arrive from the country to Israel on 692 flights, with a morbidity ratio of 0.15%.

According to the cabinet's decision on Sunday, returnees from Turkey, one of the 15 countries with a travel warning, will be forced into isolation - including vaccinated and recovering.

According to the data, the country to which the most Israelis will travel this month is Greece, from which 74,283 passengers will return on 692 flights.

With a morbidity ratio of 0.04% only 30 new verified will return, as Greece is a green country that is considered relatively safe.

The nationals are expected to enter Israel during July, broken down by country

  • Turkey - 104 out of about 69,000 passengers

  • Greece - 30 out of 75,000 passengers

  • United States - 25 out of about 61,000

  • Cyprus - 27 out of about 50 thousand

  • England - 22 out of about 20,000

  • Georgia - 19 out of about 50,000

  • France - 13 out of about 21 thousand

61,651 passengers will return from the United States on 333 flights, and with a morbidity ratio of 0.04% - 25 verified people are expected to arrive from the country.

About 50,000 passengers will arrive together from Cyprus and Georgia on 470 flights.

The morbidity ratio for both is 0.09%, but from Cyprus expect 27 verified and from Georgia only 19.



France is also relatively safe: it is expected that 21,318 passengers will return from it, with a morbidity ratio of 0.06%, so only 13 new verified will arrive from there.

From England, where the situation is less good, close to 20,000 passengers will return.

At a morbidity ratio of 0.11%, 22 new verified will come from there.



At the same time, the State Home Front Command's State Tent at Ben Gurion Airport will increase the number of inspections at the airport by 2,500. More.
