With the participation of dozens of volunteers and interested people, Turathuna Foundation, in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs, implemented its first cultural heritage tracks in the city within the Masarat (Memory of a Place) project, with the presence of a group of researchers and experts in the Old City.

The path included introducing participants from different educational levels and ages to a number of heritage and ancient architectural edifices. The participants gathered at the northern wall square of the Great Al-Nuri Mosque in the ancient heritage market area and walked towards the Al-Arbaeen Mosque, the heritage Shakespeare restaurant, Khan Al-Droubi, and the Arts Hall Garden in the Al-Dablan neighborhood.

The two students, Anna Maria Traboulsi and Liana Khalif from the eighth grade, talked about their benefit from the journey, which introduced them to an important aspect of the history of Homs and its buildings, which they did not know the value of, and expressed their hope that the schools would conduct periodic heritage trips in the city.

Raneem Wahoud, an architecture student, stated that the history of architecture and visiting the city's heritage buildings are the closest to her mind and feelings and affect her conscience and memory when the ancient buildings return to the beautiful past, from which architects can draw inspiration from.

Engineer Naziha Al-Qabbani, one of the cadres of Al-Baath University from the Turathuna Foundation team in Homs, pointed out that this path aims to familiarize the community with heritage and raise awareness to preserve and care for it.

For her part, the young woman, Lynn Shaheen, a medical student, noted the importance of understanding the heritage and history of her country, especially Syria, civilization and humanity. As for the young Emile Al Shamma, a civil engineering student, he found in his participation a good opportunity to get to know and explore the city of Homs, especially with the presence of experts and researchers in heritage.

Engineer Suzi Al-Hosni, a volunteer from the organization team, indicated that the Foundation has several tracks that it is taking, successively, to introduce the heritage and history of Homs in order to raise awareness, especially the young generation and children, the youth of tomorrow, and to remind the importance of heritage and its preservation after the destruction and destruction of a large part of it due to the war.

Engineer Marah Marei from the Turathuna team explained that various segments of different ages were attracted by announcing the establishment of the activity on the team's Facebook page, to gain a remarkable turnout.

The poet Nabil Bakis considered the initiative an important step and increases our knowledge of the importance of the heritage of our country, which we do not know much about no matter how old we age, while the plastic artist Samira Medawar considered that participating in the march is very important, especially for parents to accompany their children to consolidate archaeological stories in their memory and urge them to preserve our immortal monuments and restore Reconstruct what was destroyed.

The two children Mahmoud and Alain Maree expressed their happiness to see some of Homs' ancient buildings and to hear from researchers historical stories and novels about their city, which ignited their eagerness to visit more of its historical and archaeological buildings.
