At least 27 people were killed in two road accidents in Algeria.
The Algerian News Agency indicated that 18 people, including six children, were killed as a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a truck on a road linking Constantine and Jijel in the northeast of the country.
In Bordj Bahi Mokhtar in the far south of the country, a collision between a four-wheel drive vehicle and a truck resulted in nine deaths, according to the Algerian TV channel Al-Hayat.
According to the Algerian National Traffic Safety Commission, 3,275 people died in traffic accidents in Algeria in 2019, while more than 30,000 were injured.
