Havana-Sana
The Finlay Institute for the Vaccine Industry announced that Cuba and Iran have reached an agreement to produce the Cuban Soberana 2 vaccine on Iranian soil as part of the technology transfer agreement signed between the two countries previously.
The institute said in a statement that the two countries are working intensively with regard to joint cooperation to produce the (Superana 2) vaccine, noting that this cooperation will have a positive impact on the health of the populations in both countries.
In December of this year, the Cuban Finlay Institute signed a bilateral agreement with the Iranian Pasteur Institute to complete clinical trials in order to develop a vaccine (Superana 2) against the Corona virus.
At the end of last March, Cuba sent 100,000 doses of the Sopirana 2 vaccine against the Corona virus to the Iranian Pasteur Institute, where they were used as part of the third phase of clinical trials on this vaccine.
