The first round of the final round of the men's first-class basketball league will be the day after tomorrow, with a strong confrontation that brings together unity and dignity in Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus, who reached the final after strong competitions with the Army and Al-Ittihad, respectively, in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The second round of the final round will bring the two teams together in Homs next Friday, and the winner of the two matches will be crowned with the championship title, while a playoff round will be resorted to in the event of an exchange of victory, which will be held on the next day to determine the league champion.

The path of the two teams was not easy at all to qualify for the final, but both of them needed a playoff round in the semi-finals, which was held by winning two out of three matches. Al-Wehda reached the final by defeating the Army with a score of 75-72 points in the deciding round, noting that the army won back by a score 68-72 points, while Al-Wahda won the second leg with 70-75 points.

As for Al-Karama, it qualified by defeating Al-Ittihad 86-78 points in a play-off match in the semi-finals. Al-Karama defeated Al-Ittihad in the first round of the semi-finals with a score of 98-88, while Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Karama in the second round with a score of 72-68 points.

Al-Karama coach Khaled Abu Touq said in a statement to SANA’s sports reporter, “The match with Al-Wahda will not be easy at all, as the two teams’ level is close, and we will try to distance the players as much as possible from the impact of the competition’s pressure on the title, especially since this was evident in our match with Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals.”
