Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia hosted this evening a concert by the Engineers of Lattakia in cooperation with the Nahawand oriental music group, in celebration of the Syrian Arab Engineer Day.
The ceremony, titled “We sing for hope, we build the homeland with work,” witnessed the honoring of a number of engineers who graduated from the 1983 course. It also witnessed the launch of the nucleus of a musical group for the branch of the Engineers Syndicate in Lattakia, consisting of a group of musicians from the engineers and their sons led by composer Khalil Haj Hussein.
The Mohandessin band presented a bouquet of musical pieces “Taksim Bayat by Ibrahim Al-Arian and Medley Fayrouziat”, after which Nahawand band evokes a number of songs and musical pieces for the band, Dream and your eyes, my dear, and they said, “Love, my Lord.” .
Engineer Hussam Yassin, Secretary of the Engineers Syndicate branch in Lattakia, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter the role of Syrian engineers in building and reconstructing Syria, while Eng. Yassin pointed out that the celebration focused this year on art and music, which gives hope for a better future, in addition to forming a special band for the Syndicate branch. To be a contribution to the dissemination of authentic Syrian and Arabic music.
For her part, Engineer Zainab Al-Khair, responsible for the Information and Publication Committee in the Syndicate, indicated that the annual celebration of the Syrian Arab Engineer Day comes to emphasize the continuous role of engineers in building the country, especially in the next stage, indicating the importance of contributing to rebuilding Syria in all fields and levels.
