Kirchstockach

- Enthusiasm is probably different: The citizens of Brunnthal, so the impression after the first public dialogue on the Ganser company premises in Kirchstockach, see its planned restructuring critically, especially in terms of traffic volume. In contrast to the municipal council, which in May unanimously endorsed the planning of a new central warehouse for Kraft building materials, many residents are currently primarily concerned with one question: How many trucks will roll through their town on Taufkirchner Strasse to the new Kraft site in the future?

And that's what it's all about: The traditional Munich company Kraft-Baustoffe plans to remove the composting plant on the Ganser site in the Kirchstockach industrial park and to build a central warehouse between the fermentation plant and geothermal energy. A sustainably built, twelve-meter-high, climate-friendly building with green facades plus photovoltaic panels on the roof is to be built here on a floor space of over 20,500 square meters. In addition, according to official figures, 50 jobs would be created. The owner of the project is the Josef and Luise Kraft Foundation, owner of the Kraft group of companies. According to their own statements, the building materials dealer needs this central warehouse so that in the future his trucks will only have to drive to one location in order to be able to supply construction sites with the necessary materials.

Residents should benefit from the ambitious project

The residents should also benefit from the ambitious project.

In addition to trade taxes, the construction project is intended to bring relief for the Kirchstockacher: without a composting area, there would be no more odor emissions.

The storage areas as well as the loading and unloading zones would then be almost exclusively in the hall, all work processes should take place inside, so that dust, noise and stench on the site and in the neighborhood would be greatly reduced, the planners promise.

And: This would not result in a higher volume of traffic, although this is a “preliminary assessment”, as Kraft Foundation Board member Harald Mosler admits.

No question about it: people think big here. The project plans to switch entirely to ecological by 2035. The Munich architect Michael Wimmer from 03 Architekten GmbH promises “a clear change”, “everything that is roofed should be greened”. Among other things, one wants to hold back water on the roofs and thus promote the growth of plants, quasi on top. The facades should then also be "greened outside". That is good for the local climate because it cools, ”says Wimmer. But that's not all: In the future, Kraft wants to switch completely to e-mobility here, and the whole thing with complete self-sufficiency through photovoltaic electricity. And on the weekend, quiet is the order of the day: “We won't work here on Saturday any more,” emphasizes Mosler. If everything goes according to plan, the construction of the Kraft-Solar-Halle could start from 2024,By 2035 the construction companies and the gravel works would be eliminated and the district's organic waste fermentation plant would be history.

Slightly irritable atmosphere due to critical questions

So sounds good.

While the Kirchstockachers would be happy to forego the stink of compost, many fear unreasonable demands due to the increased volume of traffic.

Especially since a new connection to the south of the site has so far only been treated as “a possible solution”.

Those responsible sometimes reacted noticeably thin-skinned to citizens' concerns.

Ganser boss Dr.

Matthias Ganser ("I am actually a doctor") conjured up the democratic community and citizen-friendly togetherness ("We are not in China here"), but power man Harald Mosler seemed slightly irritated towards the end of the event after increasing questions about the traffic situation: " We can also go somewhere else! ”That probably means: We also pay our trade taxes at another location.
