The captain of the National Team had left with the rest of the delegation around 6 in the morning from Rio de Janeiro and landed at the Ezeiza Airport, around 8:40.
From there, everything was frantic as the bus that transferred the champion squad to the AFA site was surrounded by the euphoria of several fans.
The arrival in the country must have been delayed.
The flight was scheduled for around 2 in the morning, but it had to be delayed due to the repeated celebrations of the entire Argentine delegation: at the stadium and at the hotel.
The campus was only a short time on the premises of the AFA in Ezeiza.
Minutes before noon, the players went out one by one or in small groups to reconnect with their families.
Around 11.50, it was time for the captain to leave.
He did it in a white car with tinted windows.
Simultaneously, other members of the squad were leaving in a caravan, among them Lautaro Martínez and Nicolás González.
Messi will have a well-deserved rest and in the next few days he will return to Spain to fix his contractual situation with Barcelona.
A contract that ended on June 30 and that for now, beyond the will of the parties to agree, is far from being renewed.
For now, he will share with his family and friends in his hometown, Rosario.
