The 78-year-old was on a mountain tour with her 54-year-old daughter on the Kleiner Schönberg in Gmunden on the previous Saturday.
Apparently they lost their way.

According to the report, the 78-year-old got into a steep, rock-strewn forest area during a mountain tour, slipped and hit hard steps several times before a transverse tree trunk stopped her fall.
In shock, her daughter called her husband, who called mountain rescue.
After a difficult recovery because of the inaccessible area, the 78-year-old was taken to a hospital.
In Bavaria, a 59-year-old had an accident on Saturday while working on wood on Jägersberg near Fischen im Allgäu. According to the police, the man wanted to cut a spruce tree and fell down a rock face about 30 meters high. Relatives initiated a search with rescue workers from the mountain rescue service in the evening, but they were no longer able to save the victim. The cause of the crash has not yet been clarified.
A 58-year-old hiker also had a fatal accident on Saturday in the Berchtesgaden Alps on the Kleiner Watzmann. The man fell about 60 meters, the police said. His group had therefore missed the actual path in a confusing area. While trying to climb down a piece, he slipped and fell.
