Bad Tölz - It was not until Friday that fraudsters failed several times with the grandchildren's trick in Kochel.
With a slightly modified trick, callers tried on the same day to rip off older citizens in Tölz as well.
It didn't work here either.
The suspicion is obvious that it was the same crooks.
According to the police, the perpetrators called several elderly citizens and pretended to be police officers.
The daughter or granddaughter was involved in a serious accident.
To substantiate this information, the phone was then passed on to a woman who, in a tearful voice, asked for financial help.
Police praise the seniors
The support should have consisted of a five-figure sum for a deposit.
The police praised the people called.
They would have behaved in an exemplary manner and ended the call without giving any personal information to the house.
Then the police would have correctly agreed.
There was no financial damage.
