The governor of Formosa, Gildo Insfrán, worked in the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs during the seven years of the

last dictatorship

, in which the province that today governs was controlled by de facto leaders.

The data, unknown until now, was revealed by the Journalism for All program, based on documents accessed by the Formosan lawyer Daniel Suizer.

In the program,

Jorge Lanata showed the

letter signed by Insfrán himself

in which he offers his "professional services" as a veterinarian to the former general and repressor Juan Carlos Colombo. It is dated February

10, 1978,

in Laguna Blanca

,

the town of Formosa from which the current president is a native.

Colombo was de facto governor of Formosa and headed the provincial government between 1976 and 1981. He

was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2009 for crimes against humanity,

as the co-author of nine deprivations of liberty and two cases of torture followed by death.

In addition, he was demoted from his position as general.

Before being sentenced, he vindicated the former dictator Jorge Videla, whom he described as "a fervent Christian and a good man."

He died in 2013 at the age of 88.

The documents about Insfrán in the dictatorship that Lanata revealed.

After offering his services to a confessed repressor like Colombo, Insfrán got a job and worked in the Ministry of Agricultural Affairs during the seven years that the military regime lasted, according to Lanata.

Until now, it was not known that the current governor of Formosa had been part of the provincial public administration during the dictatorship.

Turning into a Kirchner, he made his own the story of the condemnation of human rights violations during the last dictatorship, and kept hidden that he was an employee of the last military regime, they highlighted in the program.

Insfrán, in fact, worked until December 10, 1983 when he resigned.

This arises from the certification of services that Suizer accessed and that was shown in the program.

Gildo Insfrán, Governor of Formosa.

Lanata revealed that she worked with the dictatorship.

In his biography it only appears that the current president of the Frente de Todos is a veterinarian,

and that the first position he held was as

a provincial deputy for the Justicialista Party in 1983,

with the arrival of democracy.

Suizer announced that he will present the documents this week in Federal Court 1, where the case for the disappearance of people is still open.

The lawyer - known as defending the stranded who could not return to Formosa - affirms that to be part of the government of the dictatorship, Insfrán “had to agree with his ideas, otherwise it would have been impossible for him to agree to work in a ministry under military command ”.

He wants the role of Insfrán to be investigated and to tell what he saw in those years of repression in the province.
