Tehran-Sana

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh confirmed that Iran will return to all its commitments in accordance with the nuclear agreement signed with the P5+1 group in the event of an effective lifting of the US embargo and as soon as the entire agreement is implemented, and the possibility of verifying the credibility of that.

The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted Khatibzadeh as saying during a press conference today that the twenty-second and final report that the Foreign Ministry submitted to the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee today is extensive and comprehensive on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the nuclear agreement, the details of the negotiations in Vienna to revive this agreement and the outstanding problems.

Regarding his response to the results of the Vienna negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement, Khatibzadeh said that in view of the progress that has taken place, it can be said that we are close to the end of these negotiations, as the many texts that have been prepared so far have identified areas of disagreement, pointing out that the number of issues that have been settled are more than the outstanding issues, as we have made strides. Great, but this difficult path is still not over.

Khatibzadeh expressed his hope that all parties will reach decisions through which an agreement that satisfies everyone can be obtained, pointing out that all the delegations participating in Vienna affirm that good progress has been made in these negotiations and the need to continue this path in order to reach an agreement that guarantees the revival of the nuclear agreement.

On the sixth of this month, Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei confirmed that the parties participating in the Vienna talks on the nuclear agreement had reached common understandings on many issues, despite there being differences on some issues, stressing that his country would not accept any agreement that does not serve its interests.
