The dispute between a 31-year-old Nigerian and his partner (29), who also comes from Nigeria, in a shared accommodation in Iffeldorf in October 2020 ended for the woman in the hospital.
Because of dangerous bodily harm, the man now had to answer before the Weilheim district court.
Iffeldorf - "You are lying, you are lying", the defendant shouted angrily again and again when his partner was questioned.

After several unsuccessful admonitions to the presiding judge Karin Beuting not to disturb the hearing, the defendant was led out of the room in handcuffs and taken to a cell of the district court until the end of the interrogation of his partner.
The judge had already issued an arrest warrant for the Nigerian because of the threat of blackout.
He came into the courtroom already handcuffed.
As the man passed behind the witness chair, the woman jumped up and ran to the side.
Defendant subliminally alleges that she inflicted harm on herself
According to her statement, there had been a physical altercation not only in October last year, but also before. The couple, who have two children together, have been separated for some time. There is a ban on contact with the father; the family is only allowed to meet in a neutral public place every two weeks. On the said day in October, the 29-year-old said the defendant came to Iffeldorf by surprise. At first there was a verbal argument. It was also about the fact that the woman was celebrating a party, was visibly drunk and, according to the defendant, did not take care of the children.
From then on, the reports of the two diverge.
The man only claims to have thrown a chair on the ground in the common room of the accommodation, which broke in the process, then he left.
He did not see any blood or any injuries, said the 31-year-old.
He implied subliminally that his partner could have inflicted the injury on herself.
Defense attorney had doubts about the credibility of the injured party
The report was different from the woman who admitted drinking but denied being drunk. “It's strange at around two per thousand,” said the defense attorney. The 29-year-old gave clear information about the course of the crime. The defendant hit her on the head several times from behind with a chair. When she turned around, he hit her on the nose. Photographs from the crime scene confirmed that blood had flowed. The injuries recorded in the hospital also corresponded to the woman's statement. She had multiple lacerations on her head and a fracture of the nose bone. The woman also testified that when she was on her way to the ambulance, her significant other threatened to finish her off when he returned.
This threat was not recorded by police officers or paramedics, as the defense attorney was concerned. He had doubts about the credibility of the injured party, especially since the alcohol level was considerably high. The police officers and paramedics should be invited to clarify. Before that, however, the consulted expert had a say. She had examined the woman's injuries. "Due to the location of the injuries on the back of the head, it is completely out of the question that the woman did this to herself," she said. The negotiation continues. (Regina Wahl-Geiger)
