A terrorist group targeted two towers for transmitting electric power with explosive devices in Diyala Governorate, eastern Iraq, causing their downfall.
Alsumaria News quoted an Iraqi security source as saying today that the Diyala Mirsad line to transfer electrical energy from Iran to Iraq was targeted with explosive devices, which resulted in the fall of towers 177 and 179 within the Hamrin district in the quarries area in the governorate.
Yesterday, Iraqi forces thwarted two attempts to blow up electric power towers in Nineveh and Diyala provinces.
