With the participation of 54 Arab, foreign and local companies and chambers of commerce, the activities of the International Exhibition of Shipping and Customs Clearance were launched today on the fairgrounds of the exhibition city in Damascus.
The organizer of the exhibition, Anas Zabian, explained in a statement to SANA today that the exhibition is being held for the first time in Syria, and the area on which it is held is 1,200 square meters. A number of countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran, are participating in the exhibition, and it is an opportunity to meet exporters and importers with shipping and customs clearance companies.
Amer Hamwi, head of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce confirmed that the presence of local and international companies in this exhibition proved the reactivation of the rotation of the transport and shipping wheel between Syria and all countries by land, sea and air, especially that the road networks have become safe and effective.
In turn, Alaa Al-Nouri, head of the participating Iraqi delegation, explained that the common factors between the Iraqi and Syrian sides and the border distance between the two countries are an encouraging factor for the importing and exporting businessman for commercial communication, pointing out that the establishment of these exhibitions offers many solutions that will overcome the problems that You can encounter various sectors through the chambers of commerce and the relevant ministries in a way that achieves a smooth flow of trade exchange, especially in shipping and export.
Nael Kabariti, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, indicated that holding this exhibition in the presence of 11 companies from neighboring countries is evidence of the existence of understanding and bridges of cooperation between all parties to facilitate the passage of goods to and from neighboring countries and reduce costs for citizens.
The representative of the Lebanese company Auto Mobil explained that participation in the international freight exhibition is important and we will have an imprint in it through the services provided by our company, and we are confident that economic life will return to Syria, and this is what encouraged us to participate in this event.
For his part, Yasser Thanoun of the Rams Company for the transportation of oil and its derivatives, containers and Jordanian goods stated that this participation is the first for us in Syria and is a good gesture in activating the commercial work between the two countries.
The exhibition will continue until next Thursday.
