Two people were killed and four others were injured in an explosion caused by a leaking liquefied gas cylinder in an apartment building in the eastern city of Shanghai.
"An explosion occurred, followed by a fire in a residential building in Shanghai, killing two people and injuring four others, while firefighting teams managed to put out the fire about an hour later," local authorities said.
Last month, 11 people were killed and dozens injured in a gas pipeline explosion in Xi'an, Hubei Province, central China.
