Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that the ongoing Vienna negotiations within the framework of the joint committee on the nuclear agreement are close to the framework of a possible agreement to lift the illegal US embargo imposed on Iran.
In a report submitted by Zarif to the Chairman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Vahid Jalalzadeh, according to what the Fars News Agency reported, these negotiations are close to the framework of a possible agreement to lift the illegal US embargo and fulfill all the rights of the Iranian people, noting that the report includes the most important achievements and challenges of implementing The nuclear agreement during the past six years and the latest results of the Vienna negotiations that crystallize the failure of the maximum American pressure in the face of the Iranian people's resistance.
Zarif added that the outcome of these negotiations should be the issuance of a decision by the joint committee of the nuclear agreement with three appendices that includes canceling the unjust embargo imposed on Iran and nuclear steps, which are among his country's obligations, and thirdly, the implementation plan for the resolution, stressing that the issuance of this decision will be without the presence of America and after implementing commitments Lifting the embargo and by a decision of the joint committee, America will return to membership in the nuclear agreement.
Zarif pointed out that if an agreement is reached and America returns to the nuclear agreement, it will lift again all the embargo measures that were lifted in accordance with the nuclear agreement, in addition to that, it will lift all the embargo measures imposed by former US President Donald Trump, which could not have been imposed if America continued its membership in the nuclear deal. The nuclear agreement, indicating that if an agreement was reached in Vienna and America implemented those measures and lifted the aforementioned ban, Iran would also return to implementing its obligations under the nuclear agreement.
