The Attorney General's Office warned the prosecutor Matías Di Lello for an argument in which he insulted a legal advisor from the municipality of San Nicolás.

"I have it that big

," Di Lello said, according to the complaint, after refusing to provide information on open files for non-compliance with social, preventive and mandatory isolation.

"I have it that big and the municipality so small", were the words that unleashed a

judicial scandal

in that party in the north of Buenos Aires.

At the center of the controversy was the son of Jorge Di Lello, a former federal prosecutor with electoral jurisdiction in the city of Buenos Aires who died at the end of February.

It happened on March 17 at the entrance table of Court No. 2, when a legal advisor of the municipality requested information on complaints for

breach of

social, preventive and mandatory

isolation

due to the coronavirus.

The federal prosecutor of San Nicolás, who is accused of not acting in such cases, insulted the representative of the municipality.

"It is I, and not the municipality, who is going to say what to do," he said. Then he added: "The Municipality must comply with the orders that I issue.

You know what happens when I get angry. "

After this episode, Mayor Manuel Passaglia

filed a complaint

for threats, abuse of authority and non-compliance with the duties of a public official and for violation of measures against epidemics.

Now, the Attorney General's Office

warned the prosecutor

for his scandalous words.

"I note that in his presentation he did not deny it or make any reference to that point, so that in any event, it is here to remember the

duty to respect

every person who intervenes in a proceeding or who goes to the prosecution," Eduardo indicated Casal, the chief prosecutor.

In his presentation, the mayor of San Nicolás had warned that, with his activity, Di Lello "puts the population at risk" and attacks "their authorities" and undermines "the rule of law."

He remarked that on repeated occasions, the prosecutor "has explicitly refused to comply with the obligation to provide the necessary information and participate in the coordination of control and prevention tasks that are essential to contain the virus."

In the letter, Passaglia also recalled that Di Lello was appointed in 2012. "At that time, beyond family ties with a Federal Prosecutor of the City of Buenos Aires and a

certain political affinity

that he has, none had any reference to their personal or professional quality, "explained the communal chief of San Nicolás.

Di Lello had already been at the center of controversy in early 2021, when the

VIP Vaccination

scandal broke

.

In those days the San Nicolás provincial hospital was raided to investigate alleged irregularities.

Di Lello was the prosecutor who took the case, with no progress so far.
