Ebersberg
- Around two thirds of those willing to vaccinate opted for the vaccine from Biontech and one third for that from Johnson & Johnson, which does not require a second vaccination.
This was announced by the Ebersberg district office.
Vaccination and testing are two sharp swords in the fight against the pandemic - but only if they are used, the district authority continues.
The so-called delta variant is also on the rise in the district.
Those who have become infected with it potentially infect more other people than with the other virus variants found here so far.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, an incomplete vaccination - only one of two doses - demonstrated a significantly reduced effectiveness against the Delta variant.
"With a full vaccination you protect yourself and the people you come into contact with," says the district office.
79,526 people in the Ebersberg district received an initial vaccination. 32 172 of these were vaccinated by general practitioners. 712 were vaccinated in the district clinic. 7666 of the vaccinated are over 80 years old. This is the second time that 59,724 district citizens have been vaccinated. 7178 of them are 80 years or older. 22 270 second vaccinations were given in general practitioners' practices, 641 in the district clinic. The district of Ebersberg now has a vaccination rate of 55.19 percent. 41.45 percent of the district residents are already fully vaccinated with first and second vaccinations.
