County - The conditions must have been terrible.

Conditions that have apparently led to several anonymous reports in the Miesbach veterinary office and the Tegernseer Tal animal welfare association, the only animal welfare organization in the Miesbach district.

Now the authorities have put an end to these conditions. As the Miesbach District Office confirmed on request, 123 cats and dogs were confiscated from private property. According to spokeswoman Sophie Stadler, the veterinary office was involved in the action. "Some of the animals were in poor condition, both medically and in terms of their welfare," said Stadler. Where the property is located, the district office is not allowed to provide any information. The spokeswoman refers to the ongoing investigation.

Johanna Ecker-Schotte, chairwoman of the Tegernseer Tals animal protection association, confirms the access.

She was involved in the action and only reports this much: "The animals were really in a catastrophic condition, both medically and psychologically." She was glad that the action could now take place.

"We are happy that the animals were saved."

The owner of the animals is now being determined.

"In the next step, several administrative offenses and criminal offenses will be examined," said the district office spokeswoman.

"The investigative authorities are involved." Further information could not be given due to the ongoing investigation.
