Brazil recorded 17,031 new infections and 687 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, according to the latest statistics from the American World Meters website.
According to the website, the total number of coronavirus infections in Brazil has so far reached 19,106,971, and the total number of deaths has reached 534,233.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India, and in recent weeks it has faced sharp increases for both indicators.
In Mexico, health authorities recorded 3,779 new infections and 62 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total infections to 2,590,500 and the total deaths to 234,969 cases.
