The British Financial Times confirmed that the outbreak of the mutated Corona delta in many European countries is casting a negative shadow on the economic recovery, with increasing fears of a high number of infections and the re-imposition of restrictions on travel and gatherings.
The newspaper pointed out in a report today that the lifting of most of the closure measures across Europe in recent months has led to an increase in business activity and spending, prompting many economists to raise the level of their expectations for European growth.
And the newspaper indicated that these expectations are back in doubt with the outbreak of the delta mutant, which is described as highly contagious in the majority of new cases in European countries.
A few days ago, Germany and France warned their citizens against traveling to Spain with the high rate of infection with the Corona virus, which became the highest in Europe, which dealt a severe blow to the tourism sector at the beginning of the summer season.
