The school year was full of special hurdles - for Veronika Seebauer and Michael Fux that wasn't a big problem: the young adults are the best of the year at the FOS in Waldram.
Wolfratshausen - Veronika Seebauer (22) and Michael Fux (20) were literally written on their faces with joy and relief.
The two of them passed their high school diploma as the best of their year at the Fachoberschule (FOS) of St. Matthias in Waldram.
The technical college in the ecclesiastical institution offers the degree in the branch “social affairs”.
It was not officially recognized by the state until September 2020.
In order to achieve this, at least two thirds of the students had to obtain the technical college entrance qualification in two consecutive years - the FOS Waldram already managed this with the first two years.
The two were troubled by something special in their FOS careers
But back to this year's graduates: Nine young women and men took the exams - after school under corona conditions.
“Nothing works without discipline,” emphasizes Fux, who passed the test as the best with a 1.7.
He himself would have expected a two before the decimal point.
"But over the year it had already become apparent that we would be ahead," interjects Seebauer, who achieved an average of 2.3.

The most difficult for both of them was the eleventh grade with internships in day care centers and old people's homes.
"Switching from school to internship was not always easy," they agree, "especially since a lot of material had to be mastered in a very short time."
Both want to stay true to social affairs and study
As united as they are on this point, they are as united with their plans for the future.
Both want to study social work - but in different places.
Fux applies in Munich, Seebauer moves to Landshut.
Before that, however, there is a celebration.
"My mother must have already chilled the sparkling wine at home," says Seebauer and laughs.
A joint celebration or even a graduation trip with classmates had to be canceled because of the pandemic.
"It would have been great," says Fux, "but now it's just the way it is."
