The participants in the annual conference of the Damascus Branch Council of the Teachers’ Syndicate (the eleventh session) recommended increasing the compensation of administrators, localizing education for teachers and students in the schools of their regions, increasing the stationery allocated to schools, accepting teachers’ children in the union’s kindergartens for free, and enhancing health insurance to cover all health services for teachers.

The participants in the conference, which was held today at the Freedom Institute in Damascus, pointed out the importance of working on the affiliation of private schools to the Ministry of Education instead of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, improving the reality of work in the insurance company, and providing special correction centers that provide the appropriate atmosphere for teachers and flexibility in granting teachers leave from school clinics.

The participants demanded the establishment of a cultural library within the field of work of each union division, and coordination between the Ministries of Education and Information to work to prevent the completion of any artistic work that offends educational institutions and their employees, and to enhance the role of the teacher in all television programs and series.

In response to the participants’ interventions between the Director of Damascus Education Suleiman Al-Younis, that the assignment of teachers to exams is done electronically, pointing to the importance of localizing education, securing housing for teachers, and strengthening the work of the union unit to solve problems directly, explaining that the exam tours of the centers are support and not a burden as some consider it, and to maintain integrity. exams.

A member of the leadership of the Damascus branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, head of the Office of Education and Pioneers, Mazen Tuffaha, pointed out the importance of spreading the culture of dialogue in a systematic and correct manner among teachers, promoting youth affiliation and interest in national education, and the need for each teacher to allocate a margin within his school classes to talk with students about the importance of the homeland and the concept of belonging and interest in the Arabic language between teachers and learners.

In turn, Waheed Zaal, head of the Teachers Syndicate, explained the importance of the union's work to serve the teacher's interest and achieve the best for him, pointing to the positive aspects of localizing education that are reflected in the educational process.

The Secretary of the Damascus Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Husam Al-Samman, stressed the importance of field trips to inspect exams and to devote the concept of a leader educator to teachers and to enhance the concept of citizenship among students.

For his part, a member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, head of the Education and Pioneering Office, Major General Yasser Al-Shoufi, stressed the need to prepare a patriotic generation that protects the nation’s banner in the next stage, stressing the role of teachers in promoting the Syrian Arab Army’s victories on the field with their words and their role in building this generation.
