Kuala Lumpur-SANA
Malaysia today closed a vaccination center against the Corona virus after 200 workers were infected with the infection.
Reuters quoted Malaysian Science Minister Khairy Jamaluddin as saying that "the authorities advised people who were vaccinated at the center during the period from 9 to 12 July to isolate themselves for a period of ten days in anticipation of contracting the disease."
The center, located about 25 kilometers outside the capital, Kuala Lumpur, provides about 3,000 doses per day, and 204 of its 453 staff and volunteers have tested positive.
This comes at a time when Malaysia is facing difficulty in containing the largest outbreak of the virus so far, with 844,870 infections and 6,260 deaths recorded so far, amid an intensified vaccination program and stricter public isolation measures imposed last month.
