The CSU local association Buch-Pastetten relies on its proven leadership.
Buch am Buchrain - At their local general meeting, the members came to a conclusion on the local elections in the two communities - with mixed feelings.
As is well known, the satisfied local chairman Ferdinand Geisberger was able to defend his mayor's office in Buch.
The CSU list increased by three percent in terms of votes and remains the strongest group.
However, it was not enough for a sixth seat on the local council.
The community chief thanked cash auditor Martin Ostermeier, who did not receive enough votes and is still involved in the local association despite his departure from the committee.
In the VG partner community, the mood is less euphoric. After 18 years, town hall chief Cornelia Vogelfänger did not take part again. "Unfortunately we could not defend the mayor's seat," said Geisberger, looking back. In addition, the number of local councils has halved from four to two. "We tried hard, but had to give up clean feathers," said Pastetten's unsuccessful mayoral candidate Matthias Zimmerer. Geisberger emphasized that one had to “become more active again and listen to the concerns of the citizens more”.
Geisberger would like to “get the local book patties going again” after the incisive Corona period.
The 54-year-old would like to resume the citizens' wishes and results of the workshops from the election campaign phase in both communities soon.
Maybe there should be new workshops.
The mayor would also like to revive the get-togethers on certain topics, possibly with local CSU associations in the neighboring communities.
Vogelfanger encouraged her comrades to stand up for the CSU direct candidate Andreas Lenz in the federal election campaign in autumn.
In her opinion, local free voter candidate Birgit Obermaier could be a big competitor for Lenz, especially in Pastetten.
The new elections for the board, led by CSU district manager Alexander Attensberger, brought only a few changes.
After twelve years, Secretary Josef Knon passed the office into the younger hands of Martin Ommer.
Thomas Steidler and Elisabeth Huber no longer stood as assessors, Alexander Hoffmann resigned as auditor.
Of the 74 members - 81 percent of whom were male - 23 were in the congregation.
In the future, Geisberger would like to attract more female and younger members again.
In addition, the late Josef Berghofers was remembered, who headed the local association from 1985 to 1998 and was a member of the Pastetten municipal council from 1988 to 1996.
