Retirement home residents with stab wounds found in room - criminal investigation

The police have started investigations into the case of a dead retirement home resident in Amberg.

The man had been found with a stab wound.

Amberg - A death in an old people's home has so far been a mystery to the police.

According to a press release from the Upper Palatinate Police Headquarters *, a man with a stab wound was found in his room at lunchtime on July 12th.

Any help came too late, he died on the spot.

The Amberg Criminal Police Inspectorate is now investigating. 

Amberg: The emergency services could no longer help the man  

At around 12.15 p.m., the Upper Palatinate police received the notification that a resident of a nursing home in Amberg had been found in his room with a stab wound. Ambulance services and the emergency doctor could no longer help the man. The police have started the investigation. How it came to the death of the man is currently unclear. The officers of the Criminal Police Inspection work closely with the Amberg public prosecutor's office.
