3 hotel projects involving 271 units have been approved
In order to subsidize hotels and guesthouse rooms as transitional housing, the government has launched a pilot project funded by the Community Care Fund. So far, there are 2 approved projects involving 240 rooms, with a total subsidy of about 30 million yuan.
Su Weiwen said at the meeting that as it is a pilot project, the hotel industry and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are still exploring.
He recently stated that so far, three projects have been approved, involving 33 million yuan in funding, which can provide 271 units. Residents have moved in successively in July.
Su also pointed out that more than 10 projects are still under discussion, involving more than 400 rooms, and some of them are pending approval by the NGO board of directors before they can be launched.
He described that under careful and optimistic estimates, the project is relatively welcomed by the industry and NGOs.
