The Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios, Japan, even makes it take shape, or almost, in real life.

We understand better, suddenly, why TAG Heuer is unveiling this summer a limited edition of 2,000 copies of its luxury connected watch, the Connected. A coin offered at 2000 euros. Marrying video games and smart watches, what could be more logical? The teams of the Swiss house therefore had the good idea to associate the watchmaking image of the brand with Mario.

This imposing TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition with a diameter of 45 mm displays some discreet references to the world of Super Mario. The graduation of the bezel, the push buttons and the crown logo have been lacquered in red like the famous Super Mario cap. The bezel displays three of the iconic Super Mario symbols at three, six and nine o'clock. The steel case is accompanied by two new interchangeable straps in Super Mario red: one in elegant black leather on red rubber and the other, more sporty, in matching red perforated rubber. Mario's M is engraved on the bracelet buckles and on the crown. Finally, the screwed caseback bears the special inscription
“TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition”.

For this limited edition, four of the TAG Heuer smartwatch dials have also been reinterpreted in special versions, to include distinctive details associated with Super Mario.
The Timekeeping dial has been given a makeover with retro elements from the 1985 version of Super Mario Bros.
including a Mario in pixel art.
Two versions of the Caliber Heuer 02 dial have been created exclusively for this edition: a fun version in the red and blue colors of Super Mario, and another more classic subtly evoking the famous character's red cap.
Finally, the neural network of the Orbital dial is punctuated with elements of Super Mario, which form a mesmerizing animation.
