The Corona Cabinet will convene tonight (Tuesday) for a discussion in which senior Ministry of Health officials are expected to recommend shortening the isolation days to a week. This, after the request of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on the subject. The issue came up today in a preliminary discussion for the cabinet held by senior ministry officials in the presence of Bennett and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz.

The prime minister's request arose despite information presented in studies that a person with a corona disease is contagious until the tenth day, when between the fifth and tenth day the risk of infection even increases.

Also, in a presentation delivered to the Corona Cabinet Ministers the Ministry of Health asked to activate the green mark on spaces where there are more than one hundred people.

Thus, vaccinated, recovering and people who will present a negative corona test for large events such as weddings, celebrations, concerts, parties, festivals, conferences, gyms, restaurants, restaurants, dining rooms and houses of worship will be able to enter.

The ministry does not want to apply a green label in malls, commerce, essential services and public transportation, and will offer to operate the green label in this outline "long-term" as part of the Corona routine and indefinitely.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Health, the green mark will allow the presentation of a rapid test that is valid for 24 hours or the presentation of a PCR test that is valid for 48 hours as a replacement for a vaccinated or recovering certificate.

Children up to the age of one year will not be required to be tested, children up to the age of 16 will be able to be tested with state funding and children over the age of 16, except those who are not allowed to be vaccinated, will have to fund tests from their own pockets.

The Ministry of Health wrote in a presentation to the Corona cabinet ministers that it would take ten days to set up the rapid testing system.

As part of the system, municipal "kiosks" will be set up to sell and supervise the inspection.

The officials suggested examining approval for the purchase of rapid tests at pharmacies, which could be performed at home.

The Ministry of Health also demands from the Corona Cabinet that the government continue to fund standards added to the health system due to the corona at a cost of NIS 77 million per month - until the state budget is transferred.
