The high-altitude anticyclone is bringing generally sunny and very hot weather to southern China. In the afternoon, temperatures in many parts of Hong Kong rose to 35 degrees or above.

The Observatory predicts that tomorrow will be sunny and hot, with showers in some areas during the day, and the highest temperature in the urban area will still reach 35 degrees.

With reference to the regional weather forecast, sheung shui may further rise to 37 degrees in the afternoon tomorrow, and the hot weather will not be until Friday (16th) at the earliest, and thunderstorms will usher in.

The Observatory also reminded that the extremely hot weather warning is now in effect and the public should take precautions against heat stroke.

Those who work or play outdoors should be hydrated and not overworked; if they feel unwell, they should take a rest in a cool place as soon as possible.
