Malaysia recorded 11,618 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, in the second record number of infections for the second day in a row.

The Malaysian Ministry of Health said in a statement posted on Twitter that the total number of Corona injuries in the country reached 867,567 cases.

Malaysia and countries in the Southeast Asian region are currently facing a record increase in the number of deaths and infections in Corona, as new highly contagious strains of the virus hamper efforts to control it.
